Today was an acoustic set; Brian and Brad were on vacation which took out all our drummers and bass players. You would never know by the congregational response. It was a great day to gather and praise the Lord. High points were a hard hitting sermon from Romans, the a cappella final verse of Holy, Holy, Holy, and the closer I Have Decided to Follow Jesus.
We used the new version of I Have Decided to Follow Jesus by Eugene Thomas and Daniel Doss. It keeps the verses unchanged and adds additional lyrics that work well with the theme of the song and up the intensity. A well done and fresh update of a classic hymn that we already sing. From the looks on faces, the song seemed well received.
