Sunday Set List #135 2/12/2012

sundaysetlistWhat is the true source of spiritual authority? Pastor Mark posed the question this morning as we took a closer look at Mark 7:1-23. The Scribes and Pharisees elevated their traditions above God’s commands, and we can be vulnerable to doing the same.

We Still Believe was a new song for us this morning. We made some changes to the song at practice on Thursday night. Brian didn’t think the vocal line was working in the break. Susan’s interpretation of the vocal line I was singing was clearly better. So we ran it several times to get all of us on the same page. Brad suggesting recording it on my iPad which was a great idea, so I would remember it the next day. It turned out to be great advice. That is the great thing about being part of a team that works together: synergy!

All the songs went well today in spite of the fact it was capo on, then capo off for every other song. Not ideal for tuning on the guitar!
