Pastor Mark’s series on Ecclesiastes has been thought provoking. I wrote the following notes to myself:
- A taste of adventure over a love of comfort
- If I would have been in a hurry, I would have missed it.
The music went well this morning. Having Brad join us on the drums was a treat. I spontaneously decided to go acapella on the last chorus of Living for Jesus. I looked over to Brad for half of the last verse to get his attention, but he was in the zone with his eyes closed, so our transition to acapella was a bit staggered. It worked out just fine; the congregation’s voice rose to fill the void of the instruments. It made for a fitting end to the singing this morning.
