Sunday Set List #89 2/5/2011

sundaysetlist
We are always on the lookout for God in the Spotlight songs. Songs that focus more on who Jesus is and what he has done and less on what we are doing. Chad brought the song Hero to our attention via Teresa. Brad did an outstanding job of creating the arrangement and leading it this morning; the team was remarkably tight for a new song. The congregational response was surprising for a new song; Brian suspected many people already knew it. It may have also reflected their engagement level coming out of Holy is the Lord and Forever. We are blessed to be part of a singing congregation.

It looks like you guys sing then have the sermon and sing more afterwards. How long have you been doing it this way? How hard was it to transition to this type of service? (I'm assuming at one time you did the typical sing songs, preaching, closing song we're out). I would love to start moving toward this in my church, but I know it would be a huge paradigm shift.
www.worshipthe1.com is my site, I would love to follow up with you and learn more about what you are doing.
Blessings,
Holly
