We had another good Sunday. There's no place like home. I enjoyed last weekend visiting family, but it's great to be back. Adult Sunday School Class went well with great discussion and inputs from the class; it's a pleasure to lead. I always come away with a fresh perspective on the passage; in this case Acts 7:1-8:30. Stephen's Spirit directed rebuke of the Sanhedrin is a challenging passage to process, but everyone jumped in and we sorted it out.
Time in the Word always seems to set up great times of worship for me; today was no exception. The congregation was engaged and Pastor Mark was back this Sunday too and, eager to preach, headed for the pulpit one song too early (the normal time but I added an extra song to set up the sermon). Had to send him back down! We normally meet for lunch each week but he was out of town and we didn't get a change to go over the service. I was no big deal; we are pretty informal and everything worked out fine. Here are the songs:
