Pastor Mark brought an uncompromising, hard-hitting message today from Romans! We live in an America that suppresses the truth, perverts the truth, and perverts lifestyle. His provoking question to us this morning was: What known truth are you suppressing today?
With the exception of a minor train wreck in Your Amazing Love our worship in song went well this morning. I got the full story after the service. When the drums and bass came in at the end of the first verse. I thought I came in on the wrong note and so did Brian (the drummer), so I quickly bailed and just sang for awhile and entered the song a little later. It turns out Brad inadvertently used the wrong chord progression for the transition and plowed ahead avoiding the train wreck which explained his expression to me right after the song. However, in checking with my wife, she was not even aware we had a problem which means most of the congregation were unaware too. It reinforces what I always tell everyone when you make a mistake. Don’t advertise it, play through it, and most worshippers will not even notice it. That is a good thing.
