sundaysetlist 3rd Sunday in Advent

This morning we had our missionaries from Trieste, Italy visiting. Caleb had a hard hitting message from John 15:4-5 and the question I had to ask myself as I listened to the sermon was: "Are you trying to make a name for yourself?” The reminder from Jesus is “apart from me, you can do nothing.”

The congregational worship in song went well. The highlights were an acapella finish where everyone really sang out on the chorus on O Come, All Ye Faithful to close the first set. Open the Eyes of My Heart was also a powerful song this morning. We had to make some adjustments this morning on the team as Jody had an accident at home with some really hot coffee, so Brian filled in on bass and we left the electric guitar spot open. Fortunately Jody was fine and was able to make the service and we didn’t miss a beat on on the music. Here are the songs we did:
